On July 28, during the morning walk, Judge Uttam Anand, posted in Dhanbad court, died after being hit by an auto. After this, on the recommendation of the state government and on the instructions of the High Court, the matter was handed over to the CBI.
On July 28, Uttam Anand left the house for a morning walk around five in the morning. When he did not return home, wife Kirti Sinha called the registrar and informed about it. After this, the registrar informed the matter to the Dhanbad SSP. After the information, the police department started looking for the judge.
Earlier it was considered a common accident
After a while the judge was found injured near Randhir Verma Chowk from where he was declared brought dead on being taken to SNMMCH. Earlier it was considered to be a normal road accident but the sensation spread when the CCTV footage showed an auto being deliberately pushed.
What did the CBI tell the High Court?
In the month of September, the CBI had told the High Court that the auto driver had deliberately hit. Judge Uttam Anand was killed after this collision. At the same time, the driver had escaped from the spot along with the auto rickshaw. The Joint Director of CBI had said that the investigating agency is probing the incident from every angle.
