Bihar News: Two policemen returning from election duty were victims of road accident, seriously injured


Jehanabad: In Bihar’s Jehanabad district, on Wednesday, two policemen returning from a bike after completing the polling in Hulasganj under the fourth phase of Panchayat elections fell victim to a road accident. Both were seriously injured in this accident. In fact, a bike rider coming from the front hit the bike of the policemen returning to Jehanabad after duty, injuring both the policemen seriously. Both of them have been hurriedly admitted to Sadar Hospital in critical condition.

A bike coming from the front hit

The incident took place near Manas International School located south of Kako police station area. In connection with the incident, the injured woman policeman Pooja Kumari said that she was returning with a colleague on a bike after collecting the EVMs after completing the fourth phase of polling in Hulasganj block. Meanwhile, a speeding bike rider coming from the front hit his bike hard, due to which both of them fell on the road.

Here, the bike rider who hit the bike ran away from the spot with his bike. One leg of female constable Pooja Kumari has also been fractured in the incident. While his colleague Jawan Gautam Kumar has suffered serious injuries.

Police reached Sadar Hospital

Here, after getting information about the incident, many jawans including police officers and association officials reached Sadar Hospital and took care of both. SDPO Ashok Kumar Pandey, who reached Sadar Hospital, said that the condition of both is said to be out of danger and no hesitation will be taken in better treatment based on the advice of doctors.
