BHOPAL: Students seem to be satisfied with the class 10 and 12 results declared this year by Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) on the basis of their previous exams’ performances.

Sample this: MP Board declared 100% results of 16,15,411 students of class 10 and 12 after cancelling their exams due to Covid 19 pandemic with a facility that those who were not satisfied by the results can appear for offline exam which is scheduled to start from September 6. For this exam, only 14,574 students including 471 from the state capital have applied.

As per the schedule, the special examination will be held for regular and non-regular students. Class 10 examination will be organised from September 6 to 15 while class 12 examination is scheduled from September 6 to 21.

As per the MPBSE officials, 9005 students from high schools and 5569 of higher secondary schools have shown their interest in appearing in the exams.

“In Bhopal, only 471 students including 175 of higher secondary have shown the courage to appear for offline exams have applied so far. Students can even apply till the exams begin with the late fee of Rs 10,000. I do not think any student would like to apply now by paying Rs 10,000 late fee,” said a senior official of the education department without quoting his name.

This year, the MP Board declared results of 15,70,227 regular students of class 10 and class 12. In all, there were 81,184 non-regular students who received their results.

After the second wave of Covid-19 hit the country, the Madhya Pradesh government had cancelled class 10 and 12 exams. Later, the board declared the results without conducting the exams. The results were prepared for the regular students of class 10 and 12 on the basis of half yearly tests and marks obtained in pre-boards, unit tests and internal assessment.

The students who did not appear in these examinations were passed and given33%marks. “Students who were unhappy with their result have been given the option to re-appear for the exam. That’s why this exam is being conducted,” officials said.

As per the MPBSE time table, timings of both the exams will be from 9 am to 12 noon; both the exams will be held simultaneously. Students appearing in the examination will be able to collect their admit cards from September 1, online.
