According to the countrywide result announced by the CBSE, Trivandrum topped amongst the 16 regions of the country by scoring an overall percentage of 99.99 %while Bengaluru with 99.96 %and Chennai with 99.94 %stood at second and third place, respectively.
There were a total of 21467 schools across the country and out of the 2113767 regular registered candidates, CBSE has declared results of 2097128 candidates. 2076997 candidates (99.04 %) have passed the class X board.
Like the previous years, girls have once again outshined the boys across the country including that in terms of the Prayagraj region. The overall national pass percentage of girl students was 99.24 % while that of boys, it was 98.89 %.
According to the regional officer (RO) of the Prayagraj region, Shweta Arora, the overall pass percentage of the region, having 52 districts under its jurisdiction, was 99.19%.
Like the results of the Class XII board, girls once again outshined the boys in the class X board exam. The overall pass percentage among girls in the region was 99.37% while that of boys, it was 99.09%.
“A total of 197023 candidates of 1971 schools of the 52 districts of the state 99.19% cleared the exams and barring Gorakhpur, girls have outshined the boys in all the five major districts that come under our ambit”, said the RO.
Detailing about the results of the five prominent districts of the state (Prayagraj, Lucknow, Kanpur, Varanasi and Gorakhpur) that comes under the Prayagraj region, Lucknow with an overall pass percentage of 99.64% topped while Gorakhpur (99.55%) and Prayagraj (99.52%)came at second and third place, respectively.
The RO informed that in terms of the Prayagraj district, there were 115 schools in the district out of which result of 12379 students were declared and the overall pass percentage was 99.52%. The pass percentage among girls was 99.70% while that of boys, it was 99.40%.
Likewise, in terms of Lucknow district, there were 201 schools that were registered and results of 18747 students of class X were declared. A total of 99.64% of the students passed in the district and here too the pass percentage of girls was higher than boys. 99.73% of girls passed the exam as against 99.58% of the boys.
In the Varanasi district, there were 154 schools that were registered and the results of 20113 students were declared. 99.30% of them cleared the board. The pass percentage among girls was 99.51% while that of boys, it was 99.17%.
In the Kanpur district, 120 schools were registered and the result of 12433 students was declared by the board. 99.32% of them were declared passed. The pass percentage among girls was 99.53% while that of boys, it was 99.19%.
In Gorakhpur district, there were 120 schools of which 14730 (99.55%) students were declared pass. However, the overall passing percentage of boys was higher than the girls in this district. The pass percentage among boys was 99.66% while that of girls, it was 99.36%, informed the RO.
