Dibyam Parida, a student of Pokhariput DAV public school, expressed happiness over his Class XII result. “I was worried for my result. When I get 92.6 per cent, I found that the alternative assessment is fine. I was also expecting this much only,” he added.

Mona Lisa Bal, chairperson, KiiT International School, said, “Keeping the current situation in mind and giving priority to everyone’s health, the Board had presented the best possible solution. It took into consideration the overall performance of the candidate through the most important years of a student’s schooling. There is a possibility that some aspiring toppers might get affected with the results, but the Board has given them a fair chance of taking the examinations once the situation gets better. Hence, it is a well-balanced approach the Board adopted.”
